Sarah Low, DVM, CAAB, Medical Director

Dr. Sarah Low joined Tipton Ridge Veterinary Medical Center as Medical Director in June 2023. Originally from Southern California, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Dr. Low obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.

With a passion for animal behavior and welfare, Dr. Low is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist recognized by the Animal Behavior Society. Additionally, she holds a certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture, expanding her ability to provide holistic care for her patients. Her diverse professional background includes working in small animal general practice, equine ambulatory, and shelter medicine practices.

Dr. Low's journey into veterinary medicine began while working with horses and cattle on a cattle ranch in Hawaii, igniting her interest in this field. She particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery and feline medicine, which allow her to improve the lives of animals in need.

She has many pets of her own, including two cats, Newsh and Foo, three ferrets named Chongoose, Kenny, and Nat, three horses, Max, Red, and Sparkle, as well as four chickens: Milk Chocolate, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Libby 2, and Coffee.

When she's not caring for animals, Dr. Low can be found training her horses, exploring hiking trails, and watching science fiction/fantasy movies and TV shows.
