Dr. Watson completed his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech in 2008. He earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in Animal and Poultry Sciences and an emphasis in livestock.
He then went on to complete his veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. His last year of clinical study was completed at the Virginia Maryland regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech Vet School). He particularly enjoys small animal internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Watson enjoys spending what time he can with his wife, Rhiannon, and their 2-year-old son, Liam. They love outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, and fishing.
Dr. Watson has worked as a small animal clinician for Tipton Ridge since January 2013. He takes great pride in his work and enjoys meeting with the families and their pets every day.
Dr. Watson also serves in the US Army Corps of Veterinarians as a field service veterinarian. He takes care of the military working dogs and helps with food inspections. While serving, he enjoys teaching tactical canine combat casualty care to different organizations.
Dr. Watson has 5 cats and 1 dog, all of which are rescues that were in need of medical attention and still have special medical needs to this day.
